In the cold dark morning hours of February 20, 2010
we learned that one of our worst imagined nightmares had become real
our beloved 21 year old daughter Maia had experienced a fatal car crash
we thought that her life had ended and her voice had been silenced
we thought that Maia would be no more

Learning to Dance in the Rain is a memoir chronicling many experiences that took place the first year after Maia's crash. It is our hope that sharing our story in this way will help others find inspiration to keep moving through life's most challenging storms.
